Choosing a special baby gift can be a difficult decision but there are literally hundreds of unique ideas that can be adopted to set your baby gift apart from others - after all that is what we all want!

Personalised baby gifts are a great way to give something special and unique, the parents will love the EXTRA effort that you have gone to for their little baby boy or girl and it makes you feel good to know you have bought an exceptional gift. But what gift can you personalise and what can you say on that personalised message? The first thing to ask yourself is what sort of present do you want to buy. Do you want a baby gift that they are going to keep forever or just something special for their first few years?

For a great present try a Personalised Emboidered Baby Blanket it is a great gift. Nearly every baby needs that special blanket to help them sleep and more often than not the parents hang on to this for many years to come as a keepsake - I know my mum did! The obvious message to personalise the blanket is usually the name of the baby boy or girl along with their birth date. Why not try something new, something funny and most of all something unique in the message? Include the parents in personalisation message, maybe inlcude their brother or sister too. Try including a joke message - maybe a private joke between you and the parents. Think a little bit 'outside of the box' for your message, you want this gift to be talked about and remembered by everyone. A blanket is always a winner for the baby because they will use it every day.

A money box is a great way for the baby to start saving, it doesn't have to be for anything in particular but why not open up a junior savings account to go along with it. It wont cost you anything to open up a bank account and this money box is a great excuse for the parents to put their spare change into - you would be surprised how much this amounts up to in just a few months. This one present could give the baby a few hundred pound a year in savings for when he or she turns 16 or 18 - whenever the savings account matures!!!!

Lets not forget that a money box is a gift that could easily last over 5 years. It isn't something that is likely to be thrown out, it looks nice, it can be suited for either a baby boy or baby girl and most of all - IT HAS A USE!! A personalised money box is my personal favourite as far as new born baby gifts go. It is useful and is a little out of the norm so it will stand out.

This is something that would go great in the nursery and whats more the family can hang on to for years to come. Further to that you can guarantee that no one else would have bought this same present. The magazine cover adds a little humour and laughter to your present that probably wont be in everyone elses gifts. Buying this baby gift gives you the option of giving a personal message on the front which is normally saved for a card. This message can include the parents name or maybe the babies brother or sisters name/photo.

The idea when buying a baby gift is to obviously come up with those unique gift ideas so your gift stands out, the family love it and hopefully get maximum use out of it, but as we all know coming up with something unique is always very difficult so where do we go for these unique special baby gift ideas? My personal favourite is to look around gift websites, and especially baby gift websites for ideas, the reason being is most people still buy baby gifts from shops. I don't know why, maybe because people tend to go for the standard baby clothes as a present and these are always easily accesible from a shop. A baby gift websites will offer unique gifts to give their website that Unique Selling Point, take a look into them and just get some ideas. Look at sites like The Gift Experience, they have many baby gift products and ideas and are a web based company. I personally run a baby site called Gift For A Baby. This site sources products from other sites to give you an all round comparison of what gifts you make like. Another great site out there is New Baby Gift Boxes. I am not suggesting that you buy from these sites - unless you absolutely love a product, but use them for ideas to give you food for thought. I do however strongly suggest buying baby gifts online if you are after that more unique gift.
